We publish nonfiction, science and ecology books for children. We try to make books that maintain a balance between originality and the ability to provide children with a fun and interesting experience. We are increasing the titles in our series on themes that can educate and entertain children of all ages, particularly with a fresh perspective on history and science. AJA Publishing will continue to make books with fresh illustrations and text that can enable children to foster infinite dreams and imagination.

It thinks of the history of humans from the beginning of the universe and begins examining science from the Big Bang. This is a new and fun science book that allows children in lower grades to easily experience the Big History with electricity in our daily lives.
We can now light electric lights, play games, make books, and move our eyeballs to read books—all with energy from the Big Bang. At first glance, it seems the Big Bang and electrical devices have nothing in common, but when you read this book, you will realize that they do.
『Start a Big Bang Tour!』 explores science through questions. “Where does the electricity we use at home come from?” “How do they make electricity at power plants?” “Where did coal, which is used to make electricity, come from?” “Why is coal buried deep in the ground?” and more. The book asks and asks until all your questions are answered, and it embarks on a trip in search of scientific answers. In the process, sometimes, you need to use your imagination. “Coal was a plant 300 million years ago.” “The sun was a cluster of hydrogen created during the Big Bang.”
You have to be able to imagine things that go beyond time and space to understand physics, which studies vast spaces and eons of time. This book presents a trip using cartoons to freely leap through time and space, helping children develop their scientific imagination. It also enhances the fun in reading, with interesting pictures and editing that allow children to approach difficult scientific knowledge.
•저자 소개:
-Kim Sangwook is a professor of physics at Kyunghee University. He is a kind-hearted physicist who loves art and enjoys visiting art museums. He received his doctoral degree in physics at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He worked as a researcher at the Max Planck Society in Germany and was also a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo and the University of Innsbruck. He mainly studies quantum information science and has published over seventy research papers in SCI journals. He actively communicates scientific ideas to the public, appearing on the TV shows The Dictionary of Useless Knowledge Season 3 and Friday Joy Package, which both aired on tvN. He has written a series of contributions for the daily newspapers, Dong-a Ilbo and Kyunghyang Shinmun, and he also served as the head of the Science Culture Committee at the Asia-Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics. His books include 『Kim Sangwook’s Quantum Studies』, 『Trembling and Resonance』, and『 Kim Sangwook’s Science Studies』.
-Kim Jinhyeok is an illustrator who likes comics and movies. He has drawn a number of webtoons and comics with indie publishers. He is highly interested in captivating stories and aims to steadily draw new and various comics. He believes people always expect an interesting story and he creates comics with gripping tales. •책 소개: Readers can imagine a water molecule so small it is invisible to the naked eye, and observe the shape of a water molecule discovered mathematically. At the end of the book, Director Yi Jeongmo uses a Q&A format to explain the things children may want to know more about when it comes to chemistry and water. In particular, he introduces the hometown of recently discovered elements, in other words the place where they originated. The home of elements that start from the Big Bang to stars, supernovas and neutron stars, clearly shows that the history of the universe lies inside the periodic table. This will make chemistry fun and guide children in their future study of chemistry before they are required to memorize the periodic table.
There are many adults who, when they think of chemistry, say they remember struggling to memorize the periodic table. It is easy to think of the periodic table as a table listing elements, key in studying chemistry, but the periodic table is the history of the birth of elements and the history of life and the universe. The reason hydrogen is the first element in the periodic table is because it was the first element that was created in the universe. Since it was the first to appear, naturally, it is the smallest and the most abundant in space. This is why we begin to study chemistry with Big History.
When children move onto higher grades and encounter the periodic table and its 118 elements as they start studying chemistry, they are likely to be intimidated or burdened. But if they begin by meeting the elements one by one from the perspective of Big History, the periodic table will feel like a beautiful map orderly displaying the history of life and the universe.

-Yi Jeongmo graduated from the Department of Biochemistry at Yonsei University and received a master’s degree from his alma mater. He researched communication between insects and plants at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bonn in Germany and taught as a professor at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Anyang University. He has served as the director of the Seodaemun Natural History Museum and the Seoul Science Center and currently serves as the director of the Gwacheon National Science Museum. He has written, translated, and edited many books, including 『The Calendar and Power』; 『Symbiosis, Extinction, Evolution』; 『Science Is Hard for Me, Too』; and 『A Trip to Madagascar with a Scientist』.
